The accommodation
Situated at a height of 705 meters, it is surrounded by oak and hornbeam woods, 15 hectares of chestnut woods, for a total of 80 hectares cultivated in organic conditions, within a circuit of paths that connect to CAI paths. between Tuscany and Romagna. Old farmhouse surveyed in 1428 by the Florentine Republic, already owned by a Florentine family, it was renovated in 2003. It enjoys a panoramic position with a wide view of the Apennine ridge both from the rooms and the terraced courtyard where it is pleasant to have an aperitif in the fresh summer evenings. The kitchen offers traditional Tuscan and Romagna dishes with local products, enriched by the aromas of medicinal herbs, many of which are grown in the vegetable garden. The 5 en suite rooms have terracotta or pietra serena floors, and beamed ceilings in pietra serena. The view is spectacular; in the barn there is a multifunctional hall and on the floor below there are two laboratories for the decoration of ceramics and manufacture of wicker baskets, tradition of the house. The ceramics mainly reproduce the decorations of Cafaggiolo, ancient Renaissance ceramics of the Medici in Barberino di Mugello. Guests can try their hand with the molding of clay and decorate according to their artistic sensibility. Circuits like the Mugello bike offer possibilities for routes to be done on foot or by bike, with the possibility of renting mountain bikes. In the excursions it is easy to spot deer, and other wild animals: the rarer the Apennine-like, blue-yellow frog, the splendid crested newts are the flowering of the undergrowth and of the fields especially during the months of May and June. At 4 km in the village tennis courts and swimming pool are available. The Senio river offers bathing spots, the best known of which is the "Presia" waterfall just 5 km away.
