The agriturismo
The Baisi family's Casetta Farm and Agriturismo was founded in 2000. However, the land that houses the crops and animals has been owned by the family for a long time before.
The farm offers the possibility to experience a stay in a place where agriculture and tourism come together. The intent is to show what life is like in the Maremma countryside, where you can live moments of relaxation in the midst of nature and agricultural activities. Hospitality is offered in apartments and roomsand the farmhouse also has a swimming pool for guests.
The accommodation
The farmhouse has various structures and various hospitality solutions:
- Il Podereil Ghiaccio consists of two apartments that are 600 m from the farm centre, however they are always in the same location;
- La Casetta della Grandine and degli Ulivi haverooms and apartments just a few metres from the swimming pool and the place where all the agricultural activities take place.
Primula apartment: on the first floor, with double bedroom, small bedroom with 2 single beds, living room, kitchenette, bathroom and terrace with pool view. It has air conditioning.
Violetta apartment: on the first floor, with double bedroom, loft with a single bed, living room with double sofa bed, kitchenette, bathroom and terrace with pool view.
Agave apartment: at the ground floor (with one step), composed of a double bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, living room with 1 double sofa bed, area with kitchenette, bathroom.
Margherita apartment: on the ground floor, composed of a double bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, living room with a small sofa bed, area with kitchenette, bathroom and a nice porch.
In the apartments, the rental price includes bed linen, electricity, water and gas. The farmhouse also has a swimming poolfor guests.
Activities and surrounding
The territory is full of possibilities to be exploited, nature is the main theme that characterizes the entire Tuscan Maremma. The farmhouse is a strategic starting point to go to the sea, Castiglione della Pescaia, Puntone, Follonica or other beautiful beaches.
This part of the territory has a historical heritage related to mining, being in the Parco delle Colline Metallifere. In Gavorrano you can visit the Museum and the Theatre of the Rocks, where important events are held.
The territory of the hills does not end here and extends to Massa Marittima, Monterotondo and many other places where you can go trekking and cycling . There is no lack of opportunities to take part in events and visit the many Etruscan museums in the area.
