The agriturismo
Agriturismo Podere di Maggio is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany: in Val di Fiora, at the foot of Mount Amiata, an ancient volcano full of mystical history. Here you can still find silence, friendliness and unspoiled nature.
The organic farm of approx. 30 hectares has 1 detached house, 2 apartments and 4 glamping tents, surrounded by nature and a landscape of subtle beauty.
In summer the swimming pool offers refreshment, but also in the river 10 minutes away you can have a nice swim.
The accommodation

The houses offer place for 2-4 people and are equipped with kitchen, shaded terrace with barbecue.
Casa Grande: despite the name is one of the smaller apartments of the agritourism, made out of two large rooms of the main farmhouse. In one room is a large kitchen-living room with a fireplace, and in the other is the bedroom with attached bathroom. It has a terrace in the sun with a beautiful view, as well as one in the shade.
Seccatoio: is located on a hillock among centuries-old chestnut trees. In ancient times, right here, their fruits were dried to make flour, the main food of the inhabitants of the entire Amiata region. Now it is a small house on two elevations. Downstairs, there is a very bright living room with a large picture window overlooking the Amiata and a French door opening onto a pergola terrace, a small kitchen and a large bathroom. Upstairs is the bedroom. Heating is on gas. The house has one terrace in the sun and one in the shade.
During the summer there is the possibility of staying in 4 Glamping cotton tents with a diameter of 5 meters and a height of 3.5 m. The tents are placed on large wooden terraces. In the tents there is a double bed and if 2 single beds are needed, floor mats, water and electricity. Less than 50 meters away is a large kitchen with private refrigerator, oven, gas stove, and everything you need. Two tents have their private bathroom next to the tent an two have it at a distance of 50 m., but always private.
Activities and surrounding
On the knoll there is also a large shed where it will be possible to host internships, workshops and all those activities that increase the well-being of the ararla, heart and discount; in this sense they are open to any proposal - painting classes, theater, yoga retreats, reiki, etc.
An hour away is one of the most beautiful coastlines in Tuscany, but the spas (Saturnia, Bagni S. Filippo) are also worth a visit.
Art cities such as Siena, Perugia , and Orvieto are not far away, and only a half hour away is the Etruscan area with the beautiful villages such as Sorano, Pitigliano, etc.
Of course, for those who do not want to go far, there is the possibility of wonderful walks nearby or relaxing in the hammock in the shade.
