The agriturismo
Il Micio farmhouse was born from a newfound sensitivity to their land and the commitment of Micio's grandson, Sergio, who has renewed his grandfather's business by introducing new crops.
Together with the family, he personally manages thehospitality, taking care of the smallest details in order to offer a high standard of quality.
The farmhouse Il Micio is characterized by the type of hospitality offered: afamily business where customers can feel at home.
The accommodation
Established as a farmhouse in the simple and functional Elban style, after a restoration carried out in the 1980s four vacation apartments were obtained. Located a few minutes from the two largest sandy beaches and in a strategic position in the tranquility of the countryside.
The property is connected to the provincial road by just over 100 meters of paved farm road. Numerous trekking and cycling routes branch off from the farm throughout the island.
The garden is equipped with deck chairs, umbrellas and barbecue for guests' use. Car parking inside the property. Outdoor shower space for the exclusive use of guests.
Linen is paid for by guests, or to be requested from the farm. A coin-operated washing machine located in the garden is available for all apartments.
Activities and surrounding
Elba Island is certainly a well-known place for summer vancazas, but many do not know the wonders that this place manages to give its guests even during periods seemingly less suitable for tourism. Elba offers an immense cultural heritage thanks to its history, its mines (iron and granite) and its natural beauty.
It is especially in spring and autumn that this island manages to amaze with its colors, its temperate climate and the many activities that can be enjoyed. One of the most stimulating activities is definitely trekking, in May, along the many paths that wind through the mountains and admire the flowering of numerous plants, among which brooms and orchids stand out. A unique spectacle!
Butautumn also offers interesting activities such as mushroom picking, chestnuts. In addition, the olive harvest that takes place on the farm with the constant help and assistance of Sergio. Numerous folkloric (the most famous is La Festa dell'Uva di Capoliveri, which takes place in October) and sporting events are also organized during these periods.
In fact, Elba is an ideal place for numerous sports in contact with nature: from sailing (every year in May the Elbacup takes place), to golf, scuba diving, and mountain-biking.
Agriturismo Il Micio is able to arrange advantageous offers for those who decide to spend a vacation period in conjunction with specific events, during the "low season" periods.
