The accommodation
In the countryside of the Lucca hills, close to the main transit routes, the agriturismo is an eco-friendly residence characterized by a familiar and cosmopolitan atmosphere. It is located at the foot of the medieval village of Montecarlo, known for its DOC wines and oil as well as for its cultural and artisan vitality. The farmhouse, a building with traditional Tuscan architecture, is on two floors and has 7 rooms, all with stylish furniture, TV, minifridge, WiFi connection, air conditioning system of the latest generation. The ground floor, with terracotta flooring, revolves around a large convivial room connected to a spacious shared kitchen and includes two connecting rooms (usable as a single apartment) and two extra bathrooms. On the first floor, paved in parquet, there are the other 5 rooms, marked by variations in color and furnishing accessories. The property has a park of over ten hectares with olive groves, orchards, aromatic plants and marsh. The estate is crossed by waterways and hosts, in the southern part, a lake. The garden, with lawn and swimming pool, is enriched with a vegetable garden. On foot or in 5 minutes by car you can visit the villages and woods of Montecarlo and Altopascio, crossed by the route of the ancient Via Francigena. The area is renowned for its oils and DOC wines. In about 15 minutes you can reach Lucca, the villas of Lucca, Montecatini and its thermal baths, Villa Garzoni and the Pinocchio playground in Collodi. In 30 minutes you can reach the beaches of Versilia. In 45 minutes by car Florence, Pisa and other Tuscan cities of art. Nearby you can practice various sports activities, especially horse riding, mountain biking (we offer bike rentals and bike guides), hunting and fishing. The farm has a small lake populated by birds suitable for birdwatching. We also offer other services such as cooking lessons, typical or not, or cook for dinners. Services (banks, pharmacies, libraries etc.), shops and shopping centers can be reached in 5 min.
