The agriturismo
Nestled in the tranquillity of the Lunigiana countryside, we are a few km from major art cities in Tuscany, the beaches in Versilia, and the spectacular Cinque Terre, Portovenere and Lerici, and the majestic Alpi Apuane.
In addition to simple and authentic hospitality, we are devoted to organic farming (Certifications CCPB n. BW11): and wines DOC and IGT are our pride, with Vermentino dei Colli di Luni and Bordeaux-style reds. The cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil is made with local olives like Razzòla and Lantesca.
The accommodation
Five colourful flats, all independent, with kitchen unit and outdoor court or private balcony.
The restaurant, with a small dining hall and delicious simple menu, offers traditional yet modern cooking. The food is prepared with the best ingredients, grown onsite or by skilled local farmers from the Lunigiana.
For relaxing, a pool (12 x 6 m), with area for kids and solarium, surrounded by nature, a large garden with inviting gazebo, surrounded by olive groves.
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo is found at Giucano, an ancient, intact hamlet, along the hills overlooking the valle del Magra: from here you can set off to discover the Lunigiana. A few km away is Fosdinovo with its Castello Malaspina (which hosted Dante in exile) along with a lovely valley full of fortresses, castles and towers, churches and fortified cities.
The Parco Regionale delle Alpi Apuane salvages wild nature, with a stunning view of the Tyrrhenian Sea, incredible trails into karst canyons, and many caves (especially the Grotta del Vento).
Only 5 km away, Sarzana offers so many events; finally, lots of small hamlets overlooking the Golfo dei Poeti: don’t miss Lerici, Portovenere and La Spezia with its old tree-lined avenues, art nouveau homes, and traditional restaurants.
