The accommodation
Le Chiuse has an historical home including four apartments. It was built in 1840 and restored in the end of the 1990s. It is located on the slopes of Montalcino, surrounded by vineyards. The property overlooks Tuscany’s characteristic rolling hills. The position is ideal to visit the Val d’Orcia area (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and all its picturesque villages. The apartments were restored according to the rustic Tuscan style, they are independent and they have a private kitchen (no restaurant service), a bathroom with a shower stall, fireplace, air conditioning, WiFi internet, free parking. In the property there is an open swimming pool with a comfortable outdoor seating area for guests to relax and enjoy the view. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer (fee for use); iron and ironing board as well as an ice machine are available. Other amenities: bocce court, ping pong table and use of the barbeque. Guests can use a common relax area with books, pool table, music and dart board, while tasting wine by glass. The farm is at 10-minute drive or a 40-minute hike (on a steep but panoramic trail) up to Montalcino; the trail follows a section of the ancient Via Francigena used in the Middle Ages by pilgrims travelling from Northen Europe to Rome.
