Strada di Cosona, 1, Cosona 53026 Pienza (Siena)
The agriturismo is located in the middle of the countryside, near an ancient castle, 11 km from Pienza. Until the end of the 1970s, the farm was the centre of a community of around 300 people, with a parish church and a school.
Views of Cosona have been celebrated by cinema, expecially in the Oscar winning movie “The English Patient” by Anthony Minghella.
The agriturismo offers 7 independent apartments: La Quinta, La Scuola, Casa Leoncini, Casa Bruna, Guidoccio, La Cappella and Il Poggiolo. All apartments have a kitchen and green outdoor spaces.
From the beginning of June until the end of September, there is a communal outdoor swimming pool with views of Pienza, the Orcia Valley and Mount Amiata.
The agriturismo is part of the farm of the same name, which produces cereals and PGI extra virgin olive oil. Milk from the sheep is gathered to produce Pecorino di Pienza cheese.
Guest rules and regulation to prevent Covid19 contagion:
How to clean and sanitize your hands
Wash your hands often with water and soap or use alcoholic solutions. Take specific care in washing before touching or handling objects / furniture which is in common with other people (to protect them) but also after having used them (to protect yourself).
The Agriturismo provides dispensers containing antibacterial gel placed close to the communal areas. Please make sure you use these both when you enter and before you leave.
Use of masks
Using a mask is a civic duty towards people around you, they must be used only when you are close (when the distance is less than 1 meter) to unknown people (people who do not belong to your family or people who do not live with you): such as the staff of the Agriturismo or other guests, in the communal areas. You should arrive onsite already providing your own masks, since they are mandatory in supermarkets, shops, pharmacies, etc…
Respecting the (at least) 1 meter distance is mandatory when you are with people who do not belong to your family or people who do not live with you. Please take particular care in areas where you do not necessarily need to use a mask: such as the green areas, sunbathing and pool areas.
Disposal of Protective devices
Protective devices (masks and disposable gloves) must be disposed only using the undifferentiated waste bins that can also be used for tissues.
In order not to make all our efforts useless, it is mandatory that rules are respected by everyone, especially those concerning social distancing and the use of protective devices: this applies also to children over the age of 6 and to minors which are under your responsibility.
If rules are not respected by all, staff will be obliged to ask young guests to leave the communal areas.
Playground for children and green areas
Respect the above-mentioned rules, maintain social distancing and wash your hands before entering and after leaving these areas by using the hand sanitizer dispensers at your disposal.
No access areas
Please respect the NO ACCESS areas signaled by the Agriturismo with specific signs.
In case of symptoms of respiratory illness, fever, coughing or sore throat remain in your accommodation and immediately call our cell phone to inform us.
- access to the pool area and to the sunbathing area is forbidden to people with a body temperature of 37,5° or higher. The measurement of the body temperature may be asked entering the area. As an alternative, you may be asked to sign a self-certification document.
- the use of the swimming cap is mandatory, as well as the use of a bath towel to lay on each sunbed. We advise you to arrive in Cosona with your own bath towel, so as not to mistake it with those of the other guests.
- diving in the pool is forbidden.
- inside the pool each swimmer is to be allowed at least 7 square meters.
OUR STAFF WILL TAKE CARE OF CLEANING AND SANITIZING ALL THOSE AREAS AND OBJECTS THAT YOU WILL BE IN CONTACT WITH IN ORDER TO MAKE YOUR STAY SAFER.

Hi, my name is Vittoria, Niccolò e Ilaria and I am 34 years old.
I have been working here for 6 years with my family.
As well as we welcome the guests, we are responsible for communication.
It was a desire to to keep the family business alive which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests' favourite thing about Cosona is the chance to stay in a natural setting.
