The agriturismo
The farmhouse is located a few minutes from Sovicille, immersed in the deep green of the Montagnola Senese.
In addition to the large swimming pool, Il Caggio offers its guests a panoramic terrace, lounge and communal kitchen, fully equipped. The kitchen and living room are the ideal solution for large groups who want to spend more time together.
The strong point is undoubtedly the park: the fragrant wood of holm oaks, the great chestnut grove, the olive grove offer wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and make Caggio the ideal place to spend a relaxing holiday in the name of silence and nature.
The accommodation
The farmhouse Il Caggio is the ideal place for nature lovers and hikers in the countryside, and for all those who want to spend a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The structure, obtained from an ancient farm, has been restored and divided into six comfortable apartments equipped with every comfort, such as the beautiful swimming pool.
Among the services we offer our guests are breakfast, tasting of local products, typical dinners, cooking classes and cultural events, which will make your stay unforgettable.
The Caggio enjoys a central position with respect to the places of greatest artistic, cultural and eno-gastronomic interest. Siena with its beauty and its Palio is less than 15km away, but also San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and Montalcino are a handful of minutes away by car. All to discover are also the Val di Merse and the Montagnola Senese, where we are, rich in ancient villages, churches, castles and naturalistic treasures.
Activities and surrounding
At the farm are held tastings of products from the short supply chain and their own production, such as oil, jams and vegetables.
Free services include laundry service; final cleaning; weekly cleaning; weekly linen change. On request: buffet breakfast, served in the common room or in the apartment; babysitting service; daily change of linen.
Il Caggio enjoys a privileged position, absolutely central to the places of greatest artistic, cultural and gastronomic interest: 15 minutes from Siena, 50 minutes from the charming town of San Gimignano, about an hour from Montalcino and Pienza, 40 minutes from the spa of Rapolano, one hour from the sea and 75 minutes from Florence. It is therefore easy to move and make pleasant trips in this wonderful land that is Tuscany.
