Agriturismo Podere Pietreta

Podere Pietreta is a large stone farmhouse dating back to the 18th century, which has recently undergone a meticulous and enthusiastic restoration, carried out preserving the architectural details and using original materials.

The farmhouse dominates the hills sloping down towards the plain. A three-hectare park surrounds the Podere. In the shade of large oak trees is inserted the panoramic swimming pool with Roman staircase (mt. 6x12); from the benches properly placed in the large garden you can admire the magnificent panorama that characterizes Podere Pietreta. The large car park is located in a position that does not disturb the view.

There are 3 inviting apartments that are available for guests, of varying sizes, and a beautiful independent house - also in stone - newly restored. There is a warm and refined atmosphere in the estate, the residences are elegantly furnished with furniture in old Tuscan stile.

The apartments are furnished exclusively with old furniture, all equipped with fireplace and independent heating, TV, dish washer, microwave oven, independent entrance. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with shower. Each apartment has a private external space fully equipped with gazebo/unbrella, stone table, chairs and private barbecue. The atmosphere is pleasant, charaterized by good taste and intimacy.

A park of three hectares surrounds Podere Pietreta. Under the shade of large oaks, there is a panoramic swimming pool with a Roman staircase (6x12m). From the well-placed benches in the large garden, you can admire the magnificent panorama that characterises Podere Pietreta. The ample parking is located in a position that does not disturb the view.

The park also includes an olive grove of more than 100 olive trees, an orchard and a rose garden; there are no enclosures, but wide spaces and natural terraces, surrounded by lavender, rosemary and flowering plants.

The panoramic swimming pool is surrounded by a vast English garden and is elegantly equipped with a pergola of cast iron, sun beds and deckchairs; a characteristic shower is built into the stone.

The apartments are all on the ground level and have a private entrance; for each of these, there is a private space with a large umbrella, table, chairs and barbecue. Each apartment is located on one of the three sides of the farmhouse, ensuring that guests have complete privacy.  Free Wi-Fi and LAN connections.

The stone house - connected to the farmhouse - also enjoys a stunning view of the valley, and has two private entrances and is surrounded by a large private garden with a furnished gazebo, relaxation area, terrace and barbecue.

Apartment "Arco" (2+2 beds) composed by a lounge/dining room with fireplace and kitchenette, a bedroom with double bed, a bathroom with shower.

Apartment "Quercia" (4 beds) independent house, connected to the farmhouse, made up of a large  living / dining area with double bed and fireplace, a double bedroom, a kitchenette, two bathrooms with shower.

Apartment "Olivo Junior" (3+2 beds) made up of a living room with fireplace and sofa-bed, kitchenette, a triple bedroom (one double bed and one single bed, or three single beds), two bathrooms with shower.

"Geranio" and "Lavanda": Double bedrooms with private entrance, bathroom with shower, satellite TV, mini-fridge, private outdoor area with table, chairs and deckchairs.

With its sheltered position, surrounded by century-old oaks and evergreen trees, the pleasant atmosphere of Podere Pietreta adds to the enchantement of Val d'Orcia, one of the most fashinating views of Tuscany.

Podere Pietreta is the ideal point of departure for short excursions (30/60 minutes) towards some of the most attracting localities of Tuscany: Radicofani, San Quirico d'Orcia, Bagno Vignoni, Pienza, Sarteano, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Chiusi, Cetona, San Casciano Bagni, Arezzo.

In 20 minutes you can arrive to the woods of Monte Amiata, Umbria is at halfhour drive.
Another absolutely exceptional characteristic is the presence, at no longer than 30 minutes, of numerous thermal establishments of which the most famous: the Terme di San Casciano, the thermal swimmings pool of Sarteano, Bagni San Filippo, and the Chianciano hydrothermal establishments etc.

Val d'Orcia rappresents a precious oenological and gastronomical destination. It is located in the heart of the classic Chianti and the Montepulciano Doc: it is the land of pici, of pasture meat, of mushroom's from local woods, of delicious cheeses, which are the result of the competition between local traditions and the recent introduction of Sardinian sheep farming.
During the whole year several demonstrations of historic folklore are held, with typical products feasts, art and craft trade fairs, cultural events, musical and theatrical performances.
