The agriturismo
The farm is located near the village of Murlo, in the province of Siena: it overlooks an ancient medieval road, very close to the Etruscan excavations of Poggio Civitate, whose finds can be admired in the town museum.
The estate is on a hill at 300 m above sea level from which you can enjoy a panorama that reaches Radicofani, Montalcino and Monte Amiata. All around are olive trees, fields, woods, a spectacular natural palette of sure impact.
The accommodation
The farmhouse has been renovated with complete respect for the original materials and seeking traditional furniture and furnishings. Guests have three apartments with refrigerator, oven, private toilet, coffee maker or coffee machine, furnished outdoor patio to relax and eat outdoors, air conditioning in the rooms on the upper floor. The wi-fi (free) is present both in the apartments and in the outdoor area of the structure.
Activities and surrounding
The sea at Marina di Grosseto and Maremma Regional Park are less than 80 km away, with Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala a little further on. At 2 km is an equestrian centre, and the area offers a range of different trails for hiking, mountain biking or pony trekking. The Via Francigena passes through the nearby Val d'Arbia, while Eroica, the vintage touring bike race is held in these parts every year.
At 70 km is Lake Trasimeno, at 90 Lake Bolsena; 2 golf courses are within a 20 km range and the local area is full of thermal springs (Bagni di Petriolo, Rapolano, Bagno Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo). The marvellous Siena is just 25 km away and Monteriggioni, the Crete senesi, Val d'Orcia and the abbeys of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, Sant'Antimo and San Galgano are other possible day trips.
