The agriturismo
All the buildings in Tenuta La Campana have been recently restored; you can enjoy a relaxing stay surrounded by the beautiful landscape.
The accommodation
An uncontaminated oasis in the middle of the "Crete Senesi" covering more than one thousand hectares entirely enclosed to be exclusively enjoyed by those who choose it as their holiday destination and by the few people who work there.
Farming is the main activity carried out in the estate with full respect of the environment.
Within the farm there are natural truffle grounds, where in good years the prized white truffle is harvested.
Durum wheat, which is used in making the famous Italian pasta, is our main crop, followed by cereals for animal feeding, meadows for forage production and livestock pasturing; a small olive grove yields an excellent extra-virgin olive oil.
Stock farming ? cattle for meat and sheep for milk ? is another significant activity here and it is not unusual, walking through the estate, to see livestock out to pasture in the meadows.
The main building of "Tenuta la Campana", the village, has a Middle Age origin.
The actual structure goes back to the 17th Century, when the family of Ptolemies bankers built here their owner's house with its chapel, enlarging in this way the village.
All the buildings have been recently restored and now you can enjoy a relaxing stay surrounded by the magnificent landscape. You will live and read the story of Tenuta la Campana.
We have 11 apartments and a main villa. The apartments are all very spacious and each has a private outdoor space, covered, with table and chairs.
Inside the Borgo there are two swimming pools, (one for the exclusive use of the Villa), a tennis court for free use, and large spaces where you can take long walks. The guests of the Agriturismo can use the mountain bikes, the ping pong table, the laundry room which has 2 washing machines, a dryer, an iron with an attached table and drying racks where to hang out their clothes. All always for free use.
Inside the agriturismo, our excellent gardener who already takes care of all the flowers and plants, there is a large vegetable garden, cared for by the latter, from which we draw to get the best products to offer in our restaurant , open only to guests of the agriturismo. All products are certified of Tuscan origin and are of excellent quality.
One of our flagships is our extra virgin olive oil, produced by us and offered only to guests of the Estate.
Even our honeys, of different types, are totally organic and above all to taste !!
Activities and surrounding
Guests staying at the farmhouse can relax in the large garden or in the swimming pool, the latter equipped with umbrellas, tables, chairs and deckchairs; bath towels are available on deposit.
The estate offers its guests the opportunity to pick and eat fresh fruit and vegetables in all seasons thanks to the vegetable gardens cared for in detail.
Those who want a bit of healthy movement in the open air can play tennis on the Estate's court; the younger ones can enjoy themselves in a reserved and dedicated area.
The central location of the hills of the Crete Senesi, allows guests of Campana to visit the most prestigious wine producers in the area.
Are these wines decorated with DOCG (Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin)?
Inside the estate it is also possible to try the experience of collecting truffles in the natural truffle grounds of more than 15 hectares.
Every year, on the first Sunday of October, you can attend the most important historical cycling event, called ?L'Eroica?, crosses the hills, dirt roads and the roads of the Tenuta La Campana: it is 205 km of dirt and asphalt roads, which wind through the unforgettable landscape of Chianti, the Crete Senesi and the Val d'Orcia.

I have been doing this job for 5 years along with a colleague.
As well as we cook for the guests, we welcome the guests, we rear the animals.
It was a desire to to live in nature which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests especially appreciate the chance to stay in a natural setting.
