The agriturismo

In the valley of the Carpina River, at the heart of an organic farm just a few kilometres from Assisi, Gubbio and Tuscany, the agriturismo is located in a protected game repopulation area, and takes its name from an ancient mineral water spring, low in sodium.

As well as comfortable apartments, studios and rooms, the agriturismo also features a panoramic swimming pool (8x16 m), a riding centre with horses and a fishing area. The restaurant serves delicious local specialties, including outstanding organic meat, truffle-based first courses and vegetarian dishes. The educational farm offers interesting workshops on rural issues and the preparation of various produce.

It has a charging station for electric vehicles.

The accommodation

The 6 rooms, 2 studios and 5 apartments (one of which is equipped for disabled guests) are furnished with antique pieces and include bathrooms, TVs, fridges and wi-fi.

 

In the agriturismo’s restaurant you can enjoy organic Chianina beef, expertly cooked on the grill, first courses of truffle, meat ragù or tasty vegetables, sweet treats baked in the wood burning oven and produce from the farm’s own vegetable garden. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free menus are also available.

 

The campervan area includes water hook-up and waste outlets, electricity, a laundry room, pool access and bathrooms with hot showers.

Agriturismo Acquacalda is located just 3 km from Montone, 22 km from Città di Castello, 32 km from Gubbio, 39 km from Perugia and 38 km from Lake Trasimeno...In addition to mountain biking along nature trails, fishing, playing bowls and horseback riding, guests can admire the wild animals: pheasants, hares, squirrels, deer...

The farm hosts horses and riders and offers the possibility of booking an expert guide who will accompany them on the trails of the Carpina Valley.

Educational farm for children, teens and adults: TheAcquacalda Farm, thanks to the well-established experience of rural and environmental culture of its staff, is able to create interesting experiences for children, teens and adults on many interesting rural themes and food preparation.
