The agriturismo
The farmhouse is a typical Umbrian farmhouse located on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, in a quiet position and surrounded by a gentle landscape. It is located between Lake Chiusi and Lake Trasimeno in an area rich in archaeological finds dating from the fifth and second centuries BC.
The structure is suitable for carrying out smartworking activities. Procedures for asafe reception of its guests are also respected, in relation to Covid19, with sanitation of the premises and accommodation, and the use of protective equipment.
The accommodation
The home, built in stone and brick, has exposed wooden beams on the inside, handmade terracotta flooring, and a large fireplace.
There are two independent floors:
- on ground floor 4 flats of various sizes for a total of 17 sleeping accommodations. Each flat has a kitchen unit, living room, master bedroom, bath, and private garden with table, chairs, grill. There is also a large common hall with fireplace.
- upper floor: reading room with fireplace and 5 spacious and comfortable master bedrooms, carefully furnished and with private bath.
In our park, which guests may use, you’ll find a pool, tennis court, small soccer field, bocce ball and archery area, plus other places where to relax alongside nature. Also, a playground for children (with pool table), bicycling.
The agriturismo also offers a restaurant (La locanda del Romito) where you may savor typical Umbro-Tuscan dishes grown onsite (extra virgin olive oil, wine, Vin Santo, vegetables, beans, meats).
Activities and surrounding
Nestled in peaceful nature, we are also ideally located to visit some of the most beautiful art cities in Umbria and Tuscany: Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Cortona, Arezzo, Siena can be reached in about one hour car drive. You must also visit the many medieval hamlets: Castiglione del Lago, Città della Pieve, Panicale, Paciano Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, etc. Numerous nature sites like Lake Trasimeno, the Oasi della Valle, and Lakes Chiusi and Montepulciano. Ideal day trips include Cascata delle Marmore, the Monte Subasio and the Monti Sibillini, the Val d'Orcia, and Monte Amiata.
