Via Fonte L'Abate - Assisi, Assisi 06081 Assisi (Perugia)
The country house is situated on the hills of Assisi, with spectacular panoramic views, wrapped up in its surrounding nature, deep in the national park of Monte Subasio and only five minutes from the historical center of Assisi. The geographic location of this historic farmhouse is unique and this distinguishing feature will not fail to take your breath away once you arrive.
The holiday farm has been integrated into our family run agricultural business comprising several hectares of olive trees, arable fields, a forest of pine trees and numerous shrubs, where one can loose hours walking along the country paths, admiring the beauty of the surroundings.
The farmhouse also offers sever apartments of 50mq for families of 3/4/5 persons or “honey moon suite” (double room and living room) or spacious double rooms.
Each apartment consists of a double bedroom, spacious living room area (with a kitchen and comfortable sofa bed), closet space, sitting room and bath room. The apartments are furnished with traditional furniture, TV LCD 22 inches, heating, oven and fridge, telephone and Internet access. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting.
The holiday farm has maintained its ancient facade, the original architecture and structure of the house, stone walls, ceilings with oak beams and its traditional Umbrian ceramic floors.
The furnishings help create the mood of the era in which our farmhouse was born. It offers apartments, two of which are accessible for the disabled, spacious double rooms and suite for honey moon (double room, bathroom and living room).
The farmhouse also offers:
- a wellness area with sauna, dressing area and tools / massage
- an area for the reception and sale of local products
- large garden behind each unit
- free parking

Besides many activities offered at our resort there is also the opportunity to visit and feed the farm animals, to rent mountain bikes and to take tours along the tracks of the Subasio National Park to discover its beauty and nature. You will be able to purchase biological honey, home made marmalade and a selection of carefully selected products typical of the area (Italian ham, wine, cheeses, biological eggs), in addition to the true wealth of our land which is our olive oil.
You can also discover and enjoy the Umbrian and Tuscan cuisine in one of the many typical restaurants in the surrounding areas that serve local dishes which includes stew, florentine steak, skewered meats, wild boar, prosciutto, vegetable and cereal soup.

We stayed for New Year's Eve three nights!
A fantastic place surrounded by a park of olive trees, breathtaking views and sunsets.
The kitchen is good and the guys who run the house are polite and helpful, the cleanliness impeccable.
I recommend it for couples, families and groups of friends.

My wife and I stayed at Le Manderie di San Paolo when visiting Assisi in October. Coming from Canada, we made our reservation through the excellent Agriturismo web site. The description, pictures and reviews we read on the website were the reasons why we decided to stay at Le Manderie.
We were so pleased with our choice! Everything was even more than we expected. The setting is fabulous. Standing above the valley, the view is spectacular at all time of the day. I particularly enjoyed it in the evening. Between the farm and the valley are the olive trees plantations. You couldn't get more Italy than this!
Our ground floor room was very large and comfortable. Same for the washroom with an all glass shower. We could walk to the dining room easily for breakfast and dinner.
Eating there is an experience in excellent Italian country cuisine (shall I say Umbria cuisine). The food is fabulous. The only problem we had was that we couldn't eat everything we could. It was so good and the portions at dinner so plentiful. The breakfast buffet is memorable. Excellent ricotta cheese and yogurt produced at the farm, bread, fruits, cakes, etc. And by the way their olive oil is an award winner.
Getting to Assisi is very easy and near the farm. It is a plus to be able to stay in the countryside after spending your day in town (although Assisi is a small town). To be able to walk in the country where St. Francis once lived is an experience by itself!
The first thing you experience with Le Mandrie is the location, breathtaking view, beautiful old stone house, flowers... peaceful place. The pool crowded with kids, you could lounge with a book under the shadow of a tree a bit apart. We had a suite with sofa, it was newly renovated and nice. The dinner was one of the best I ever had. Practically everything produced by the farm, like charcuteries, cheese, wine, vegetables... and enjoying this on the terrasse with the fantastic view of the valley. The only downside for me was the bed, It was hard and I woke up and it was impossible to sleep. Solved by sleeping on the sofa bed. My husband slept well in the bed though. The breakfast was great as well, their home made yougurt is super. We bought charcuteries, cheese (recommend the ricotta), olive oil before leaving. Next time I would like to stay a bit longer, just having the rest of the dinner menu is tempting.
