via dei frantoi 67, 06049 Spoleto (Perugia) Code
The farmhouse, located in the Spoleto countryside, stands in a peaceful and relaxing setting.
In 1915 the property, consisting of buildings and 11 hectares of arable land, was purchased by Umberto Palmeri, who handed it down to his son Bosco, who gives the property its name.
Now passed into the hands of his nephew Massimo and his family, the estate includes olive groves in the surrounding hills that produce an excellent extra virgin olive oil.
The 17th-century dovecote is the oldest structure in the complex, as well as the beating heart of the manor house with which it shares the area designated for hospitality and which includes 4 double rooms and a single, carefully restored: ancient wall decorations, wooden ceilings, and a precious wooden fireplace decorated with gold leaf have been brought to light.
In common for all guests, a ground-floor living area characterized by an original cross-vaulted terracotta ceiling.
A large garden, in which a centuries-old reed grove stands out, surrounds the farmhouse; the other buildings, all restored (former stables, tool sheds, chicken coops, wells) contribute to building the evocative image of a small village.
Nearby is a bicycle route from Spoleto to Assisi and there is an adventure park, riding stables and spas; it is also possible to go trekking, Nordic walking, rafting and canoeing.
Spoleto has a strategic location since it allows one to move throughout central Italy in a short time via both car and train, in fact:
- Moving in Umbria between 20 minutes by car and 2h;
- Rome: only 1:40h away;
- Florence: reachable in 2:30h.
