The agriturismo

The owners, Cristina and Antonella, are lifelong friends who have escaped from the foggy north. They have completely renovated this beautiful farmhouse, created and organized outdoor spaces with great attention to beauty and comfort.

They welcome you to the country house!

 

The accommodation

The Casale and its porch are perfectly equipped to enjoy al fresco dining, refreshing swims in the pool followed by an ice cream from the self-service bar, lazy relaxation in the hammocks in the shade of the trees, an evening barbecue and a chat in the outdoorlounges under the stars.

 

The apartments, located on the first floor of the farmhouse, are furnished with extreme care, an eye for design and super-equipped kitchens. The "SHOP-IN" formula, designed to facilitate your grocery shopping, offers a careful selection of local products: cold meats, cheeses, jams, honey, wines, quality pasta, our oil, fresh eggs and free access to vegetables from the garden.

Each accommodation has a private gazebo in the garden, with a Deruta ceramic table.

 

The pool is equipped with a toilet and a convenient self-servicebar. By thepool, there is a dedicated area forgrilling that offers ample equipped cooking surfaces and a pergola with table and chairs.

Everywhere, inside and outside, there are sculptural works by Francesco Pessina who also wanted to give the structure the particular source that stands in the middle of the yard.

On the back of the house the porch will host, by reservation, the weekly Italian dinner or pizza night, open to all guests of the house!

Poggio dell'Artista offers absolute relaxation, in the middle of a dreamlike hilly landscape !

The Casale is the ideal starting point for artistic, architectural, naturalistic and religious itineraries. The numerous Etruscan sites in the surroundings are an interesting attraction.

The area of Lake Trasimeno, an area suspended between Umbria and Tuscany, is distinguished by the extreme variety of the landscape, the countless shades of green and the rounded hills that frame the mirror of the lake. For territorial and cultural continuity Trasimeno is closely linked to the nearby Valdichiana, with the famous Cortona; to the Val d'Orcia, between the provinces of Siena and Arezzo; and to the areas of Orvieto, Corciano, Perugia and Assisi.

Cristina is an extraordinarily talented hostess.
Everything has been designed and decorated with taste and quality.
The kitchen equipment is numerous and all Italian!!!

Pleased to meet you, I am Cristina Kiss and I am 64 years old.
I have been working here for 2 years with one of my friends.
As well as we welcome the guests.
It was a desire to to escape from the city which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests' favourite thing about Poggio dell'Artista is its closeness to artistic/cultural points of interest.
