The agriturismo

Situated in the small Umbrian village of Morre, in the town of Baschi. Run by the Mecarelli family since its opening in 2014, following the renovation of an old stone farmhouse, it is home to inviting bedrooms, bar and restaurant, in a corner of the countryside perfect for relaxation and quiet.

The agriturismo produces organic extra-virgin olive oil which is available to taste.

 

The accommodation

Guests are offered 6 bedrooms — named after old terms associated with wheat threshing — with private bathroom and located in the main farmhouse; there is also a separate apartment with its own private entrance.

The swimming pool (6x12 m and depth ranging from 90 cm to 150 cm) is for the exclusive use of guests.

The restaurant can seat about 50 diners; the menu offers exclusively local dishes, and much of the ingredients come directly from the farm, such as Chianina beef, flour, jams and vegetables etc.

The agriturismo also offers a lounge area, with TV, books, colouring materials and books for children.

Activities and surrounding

The entire surrounding countryside outlines a landscape just waiting to be explored on foot or by mountain bike, with the chance to discover also trails marked by the Mountain Community.

For horse riding enthusiasts, a riding stablespartnered with the agriturismo organises short courses and pony trekking.

The farm’s own vegetable gardens, fields, animal sheds and olive mill are open to visitors. During autumn guests can take part in the olive and chestnut harvest.

At just 11 km is the town of Todi, with other important religious, cultural and artistic destinations in Umbria within easy reach.

After a long drive we found this pleasant accommodation in quiet u beautiful surroundings. Here the guest is surrounded by cattle pastures and vegetable gardens. The restaurant offers good breakfast and dinner. A small, fine pool area is available for the guests.
