The agriturismo
The Antica Corte Cason farmhouse was born from the renovation of a house from the late 1800s, set in a large rural courtyard and with a large park.
The farm, which has been run by the Biondani family since 1880, covers 34 hectares in the verdant Veronese plain, just a stone's throw from the great Adige River.
The tranquility of the environment and the wide spaces make it an ideal place to get rid of stress and completely change your lifestyle for a few days.
The facility also welcomes four-legged friends.
The accommodation
The building dedicated to agritourism presents on the ground floor the two dining rooms, equipped with heating and air conditioning and suitable for tables and ceremonies. The kitchen offers dishes related to the Veronese and Veneto peasant tradition, sometimes revisited with creativity, grilled meat and vegetables, tasting of local wines. Genuine, zero-kilometer products are used, derived mostly from the farm that produces vegetables, fruit, cured meats and raises low court animals.
On the second floor there are two spacious bedrooms, with their own bathroom, heating, air conditioner and free, fast wi-fi connection. In one room there is a double bed and a single bed, in the other, two singles that can become a double and a bunk bed (3 beds 1 for a child). There is also a kitchen equipped with appliances and tables to ensure great convenience and absolute independence for guests.
Ample, free outdoor parking and a secure garage for guests' bicycles.
Bed and breakfast or half-board service is offered.
The farmhouse is open from February to December; closed in January. For room guests, catering is always open with breakfast or half-board service. For other guests, catering is open on Friday and Saturday evenings, Sunday noon and evenings by reservation.
Activities and surrounding
Antica Corte Cason is the ideal place to take relaxing walks along country lanes or mountain-bike rides on the embankment of the Adige River, where a a splendid bike path has been created that leads to Verona (30 km) or toward the province of Rovigo (40 km) and from which to descend to see towns and villages such as Zevio (15 km) with its castle and Sunday market or Legnago (18 km) with the Fioroni Museum and Civic Museum and Saturday market or the beautiful Pieve di Scardevara di Ronco (7 km) from 1100.
By bike, on back roads, you can reach the town of Soave (20 km), with its Scaliger castle and hills planted with vineyards for the famous Soave white wine, or get to Montagnana, a splendid walled city in the Padua area (25 km) and taste its famous prosciutto crudo.
You will enjoy the wildlife (herons, egrets, hawks, mallards, kingfishers, hoopoes, ...) herbs and flowers, but also man's crops. You will be able to introduce children to our lower animals: horse, donkey, sheep goats, chickens, ducks, geese, guinea fowl, rabbits, pigs. Nearby there are also sport fishing areas for fishing enthusiasts and riding stables for horseback riding.
The farmhouse provides bicycle rental service, but also offers parking for those who wish to ride along the bike path with their bikes and make the farmhouse the starting or finishing point.
