The agriturismo

Located in the charming Samoggia Valley, in theBologna hills at 250 m above sea level, the agriturismo is an oasis of calm on a 70-hectare farm with crops, a vineyard and woodland.

Not far from the cities of Bologna, Modena, Ferrara, Parma, Mantova and Ravenna, just 3 km from a new golf course.

The accommodation

A tower-house of historical significance (typical example of architecture of the Comacine masters from the 12th and 14th centuries) has been converted into two apartments and six rooms, one of which is equipped for disabled guests.

One apartment has a living room on the ground floor and a double bedroom and bathroom on the first floor, while the other has a large living room, two bathrooms and two double bedrooms. One of these has access inside the tower with a view over the hill and a living room.

 

The renovation work on the agriturismo, carried out with complete respect for the local characteristics, has brought out the best features. The old barn with stables has also been renovated, with a porch under which guests can enjoy a little relaxation.

Activities and surrounding

During walks or bike rides, it is easy to come across fawns, hares, squirrels, and in the sky, the buzzard, which has nested on the mountain in front of Ca' Bertù.

The old stables is home to a small museum of old farming tools and household items found in cellars and attics.

Not far away are medieval villages such as Castello di Serravalle, Monteveglio, Bazzano and other small towns in the provinces of Bologna and Modena, locations of festivals where visitors can learn more about the local area and its traditional produce. In the area, there are restaurants and trattorias where guests can sample traditional Emilian dishes.

3 km away is a new golf course.
