Via di Jano, 6, 40065 Pianoro (Bologna)
In Pianoro, in the Bologna Apennines, on the Futa Pass which leads to Florence, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the agriturismo is surrounded by green grounds, marked out by a stream which runs along the perimeter, on an estate spanning around 18.6 hectares, 5 of which are planted with crops, 1 with managed woodland and the rest with natural woodland.
The farm currently comprises a 400 square metre house, which has become a space to share with those looking to discover the beauty of the surrounding region, its history and its flavours.
The conversion of a farmhouse into an agriturismo has created three apartments, each with one or two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen, plus a mini suite and a double room with private bathroom. Guests also have access to the main kitchen, originally the main house kitchen. One of the three apartments has a separate entrance and is located on the ground floor, ideal for guests with physical disabilities, including a private garden with barbecue. The two remaining apartments and the two rooms are on the first floor of the building and enjoy magical views of the Zena valley. The mini suite and the three-bed apartment have a private terrace and balcony respectively.
The ground floor is home to the main kitchen and a large multi-purpose lounge on two levels, also used for breakfast. An in-ground swimming pool is located in the garden in front of the entrance to the agriturismo, surrounded by ample furnished relaxation space. You'll also find a children's play area with round paddling pool, a trampoline, two swings, a rocking horse, a slide and a playhouse.
The clearing of some of the woodland has allowed the reopening of old pathways, now used for education, exploring nature, and sports. Holistic sessions are available in the multi-purpose lounge, followed by a “PraticAbile” session in the outside space, starting from the grounds, via the vegetable garden and into the woodland.
You can enjoy trips with professional guides, to discover the region's beauty, seminars on physical and mental wellbeing and nature trails. On the farm you can try archery, fit walking, Nordic walking, orienteering, trekking with dogs and mountain biking. There are a range of classes and seminars, including landscape painting, typical cookery, rural landscape photography, bioenergy and medicinal herbs.
Places to visit nearby include the Gessi Bolognesi e Calanchi dell'Abbadessa Park, as well as the scenic Monte delle Formiche, on which stands the medieval sanctuary of Santa Maria di Zena. Bologna is 17 km away, Ravenna 90 km and Florence 100 km.

Absolut ruhig gelegen auf einer Anhöhe mit Blick auf die gegenüber liegenden Berge. Knapp 30 km von Bologna.
Sehr nette und vertrauensvolle Gastgeberin
We stayed 3 nights at this lovely setting in the hills outside Bologna. We really enjoyed the beauty of the countryside and the farmhouse which is remodeled and very comfortable. Gulio and her staff were very welcoming to us Americans. Gulio is fluent in English and shared history of the area and the farmhouse. We would definitely stay there again!
