The agriturismo
On the silent hillside of Masignano, in the middle of lots of green – vineyards, olive trees, is the agriturismo created after the old family hayloft was renovated.
The facility has four welcoming rooms and a restaurant dining room where guests can taste traditional local dishes.
The accommodation
The farm is nestled amongst the green olive groves and vineyards, on a large, 40,000 m² piece of land. The farm itself makes wines, including the famous Vermentino DOC Colli di Luni and an IGT red, extra-virgin olive oil, fruit, vegetables and it raises barnyard animals and beef cattle. All products are on sale.
The fully renovated old hayloft is detached from the manor house and three welcoming, comfortable rooms have been created there; they each have a double bed, their own entrance, bathroom and balcony. The fourth room has been constructed in the old, renovated canteen, is spacious and welcoming and has its own entrance and private bathroom.
The restaurant dining room can seat 30; this is where breakfast and simple, genuine traditional local meals are served, made from the farm produce.
The agrituturismo is a member of Terranostra and is an "Agriturismo di Campagna Amica".
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo is an educational farm: on request, educational courses, workshops and tasting sessions can be arranged. Old farm equipment can be admired and guests can see how technology has replaced that with modern machinery.
Aficionados of hiking can walk along the via delle Pievi or, in the nearby Alta, via dei Monti Liguri. It is easy to get to the locations on the Italian Riviera coastline: the 5 Terre, Portovenere or Lerici, Tellaro, Fiascherino
The characteristic surrounding areas are full of history, folklore events and places to visit. Not only that but its proximity to the motorway entrance makes it easy to get to places like Versilia and to visit the Aquarium in Genoa.
