Tenuta Grimaldi wine resort offers an immersive experience of relaxation and charm among the vineyards of Verdicchio di Matelica. The facility is located inland from Macerata, in the territory of Matelica, Marche, the heart of Italy between the Adriatic and the Apennines.

It is immersed in a succession of hills, woods and cultivated fields that, like the waves of a majestic green sea, lap the promontories that buttress the bluish chain of the Marche Apennines. A rich and generous land that, thanks to the will of its inhabitants, has maintained over time the biological and landscape purity in favor of a genuine quality, which is expressed through the welcome of a friendly people, and the goodness of excellent products that have made these places famous.

There, where a group of ruined dwellings once stood, today the guesthouse Tenuta Grimaldi stands out: rooms and suites on two levels complete with kitchenette, as well as self-contained mini-apartments and a spa. A renovated complex faithful to the local rural typology, and enhanced by the most modern criteria of green building and eco-sustainability. Wood and plasterboard to lighten the structure in the attics, and partitions to maintain the minimalist footprint of the wine resort, also characterized by stone and corten steel.

The swimming pool, designed to fit in perfectly with its surroundings, has crystal-clear water where the mountains are reflected, with a large area of shallow water for those who prefer refreshment to classic bathing. Clients, who have exclusive use of it, can relax in an oasis of peace and silence, admiring a panorama with an open 360-degree view, where nature is the master, starting from the vineyards and getting lost in the blue sky.

Located in close proximity to the farmhouse, the estate's spa was created by recovering a pre-existing barn, a typical rural building in the area. The facility houses a 150-square-meter spa with two relaxation rooms, sauna, Turkish bath, Kneipp path and outdoor hot tub heated to 37 degrees. Thanks to its large windows, the spa overlooks the vineyard directly, showing the valley at the foot of Mount San Vicino.

Tenuta Grimaldi is undoubtedly the ideal place for those who love to relax, but the area in which the facility is set also offers a variety of activities for those who enjoy outdoor sports.

For those accustomed to discovery, trekking routes among the paths of Mount San Vicino and Canfaito with a nature guide. Or horseback riding, ranch lessons, carriage rides, a quad bike ride , and, for two-wheelers, bike rides with rental and biking options.

The more adventurous, on the other hand, can be lulled by the wind aboard a paraglider, flying over the Marche hinterland and admiring the hills and plains that, from the foot of the Sibillini Mountains, lose themselves in the Adriatic. A spectacle to be experienced and seen.
