The agriturismo
Years of hard work led to the complete restoration of the farmhouse and former residence of the current owners’ grandparents. The farm’s name (Italian for “Once upon a time…”) marks the desire to preserve past labours and to remember this ancient birthplace as a tribute to those who passed down recipes through generations for the typical cuisine still served today .
The estate is set in the marvellous hills of the province of Asti, just a short distance from Nizza Monferrato, Neive and Barbaresco: excellent wine and beer are produced here, with the same passion over the ages.
The accommodation
The restaurant offers typical traditional dishes such as bagna cauda (a dipping sauce), agnolotti del Plin (typical local ravioli) and panna cotta. Quality, carefully selected ingredients are used, most of which are produced on site or come from local farms. The menu follows the seasons with fresh produce at all times f year. Menus range from € 25 to € 40 including wine.
In addition to the restaurant, guests are offered 7 double rooms with en-suite bathrooms (3 of which have air conditioning). Wi-Fi internet connection also available.
Activities and surrounding
All produce from the farm and other associated Terranostra farms can be tasted. The farm’s own wine and beer can be purchased on site. Guests may avail of bicycles for outings in the marvellous surrounding countryside. Visits to tourist attractions are organised with minivans for hire.
The Agliano spas offer a wide range of treatments and cures.
