The agriturismo

The agriturismo is a typical, late 19th century farmhouse of Piemonte that has been fully renovated while maintaining the style and characteristics of a country home.

The accommodation

On the ground floor there is a large open kitchen with fireplace and a large dining room (with brick vaults and old cast iron stove), from which you can access the porch for breakfast in the summer.

 

On the upper floor there is a large living room with an imposing fireplace, sofas, armchairs and antique furniture, where you can have a drink after dinner, listen to music, play the piano and ... sing (there is a professional system for karaoke). At guests' disposal 4 double bedrooms and one single bedroom. On the second floor there is the Suite Nizza, ideal for families or two couples, with 2 double bedrooms, living room, large bathroom with two sinks, private terrace. All rooms have the possibility of a 3rd bed, private bathroom, hairdryer, view on the garden and hills.

The second building, in old exposed bricks, houses the cellars (for the vinification and aging of DOC and DOCG wines) and the independent Suite Monferrato withtwo doublerooms , and an apartment with 3 beds, equipped kitchen and Dehors with table and chairs.

The farmhouse is equipped with services with a brand new large outdoor swimming pool (20 meters) also suitable for swimming with ample space for relaxation and sunbathing, bar for snacks, drinks and aperitifs used in summer (from Easter to September), only by reservation, inside you can enjoy the "thermarium" withmosaic whirlpool (up to 6 people) and turkish bath in travertine, shower and toilet.

Available on request treatments with Thai massage for emotional balance and physical well-being.

Aperitifs or fruit compositions are offered by the pool. The restaurant service is also available by reservation only for guests.

Activities and surrounding

About 300 metres away there is an equestrian centre with a riding school and horse rental. From the agritourism there are marked trails for cycling and trekking .

In Nizza Monferrato (3-4 km) there are tennis courts; in Canelli (6 km) there are historical wine cellars (Gancia, Bosca, Contratto, Riccadonna etc.); in Costigliole d'Asti (10 km) there are wine cellars .); in Costigliole d'Asti (10 km) the Castle, seat of a school of haute cuisine; in Acqui Terme (18 km) spas and the "la Bollente" spring (72° C); in Alba (30 km) the medieval towers, the cathedral and the white truffles; in Asti (18 km) a market and the Palio of mid-September.

Monferrato is rich in villages, castles and Romanesque churches, as well as restaurants offering typical local cuisine.

The location is great and the farm has good potential but for the price paid we expected something more.

Mrs. Monika stayed with us for three nights, during which she was provided with a baby bed, as per her request, without charging the extra cost, as a courtesy of us.
If as the lady claims the apartment was full of dust, which is not credible, the lady should have reported it immediately after check in or on one of the following days of stay, especially since the apartment was reordered daily by the cleaning staff.
It 'absolutely not true, and laughable that a differentiation is made in the breakfast service between Italian and foreign guests, a service that indeed everyone appreciates the quality and abundance of what is served.
The dinner menu is a set menu, the cost of which is known and not an a la carte menu, so if the lady imagined perhaps to save money by not ordering maybe a course, incorreva her mistake and not the restaurant.
Finally, the staff that deals with the cleaning of the rooms is not that of the service to the tables, as easily verifiable
