The agriturismo
The beautiful Oberfaller farm is located in a secluded and bright location.
A sheltered oasis, it is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet without giving up easy hiking, mountaineering, swimming, biking, skiing or immersing themselves in the culture of this place to experience and understand it.
The panorama from the house and from the alpine pasture ranges from the Zillertal Alps to the Dolomites.
Famous peaks such as Sassolungo and Sassopiatto, Sella and Sciliar, Plose and Corno Bianco are within reach.

The accommodation
The Oberfaller farm is cozily and comfortably furnished, set in adventurous gardens and equipped with common rooms for reading, chatting, feasting and celebrating.
Situated in the center of South Tyrol, 750 m above sea level in the lower Eisack Valley, surrounded by apple orchards, vegetable fields and forests, it is run with heart, soul and hospitality by husband and wife Sabine and Erich Mur, who in 2021 renovated their house and put in four apartments, including an elevator: generously designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, mostly handicap accessible, sustainably and comfortably furnished by local craftsmen and artists, using high-quality materials and lumber from our forest and with great care and attention to detail.
Each apartment enjoys both a loggia-balcony and a terrace equipped with a private Finnish sauna. A special feature of the farmhouse is located on the ground floor: the "á la grande" lounge entirely reserved for guests. It features a cozy fireplace room with comfortable sofas and armchairs, a library, anold vaulted cellar, a modern communal kitchen, and a small farm store.
All common areas are equipped with discreetly installed technology for gatherings and celebrations--we even rent the whole house!
From the common room a large sliding door in the large windowed wall leads directly to the spacious terrace and greenery.
Unusual for an agritourism is the world of gardens: it invites one to stroll and discover by lingering to observe and piluate in the classic South Tyrolean farmer's garden, the rose and hydrangea garden, the berry garden, the shade of the old walnut tree, the sunbathing lawn or the cozy quiet of the table grape arbor. One can discover the fragrant vegetable and herb beds or the orchard, in which guests can serve themselves!
Outside, one can use the bocce ball track, the invigorating Kneipp path or do yoga exercises in the shade of the pergola.
This agritourism is under the banner of sustainability and features contemporary living forms with traditional elements. Attention to detail, both exterior and interior, inspired the owners in the construction and furnishing of the ClimateHouse; built in a responsible and energy-consistent manner, the house after renovation meets the certified standard of ClimateHouse B. Thewoodchip system provides heat using wood from the farm's forest; thephotovoltaic system provides environmentally friendly electricity and thesolar system hot water for your shower.
Activities and surrounding
South Tyrol is one of the most beautiful hiking, biking and skiing paradises in the Alps.
Right from the Oberfaller farm, you can set out on a variety of trails for all tastes and fitness levels, from walks and easy hikes year-round to challenging summit tours for the more experienced.
The same goes for the nearby ski areas, from family hikes to the Rittner Horn or theSeiser Alm to the Sellaronda, the famous ski safari from Val Gardena into the heart of the Dolomites.
This area is equally well suited for cycling, especially e-bikes: from the bike path in the valley to the special tourist routes on the nearby alpine pastures, there are countless possibilities for cyclists.
In spring, summer, fall, and winter, the hiking destinations of the suspension bridge, Barbian with the leaning church tower, Three Churches, Briol, the waterfalls with the mountain cinema, Trostburg Castle, Sabiona Monastery, the small church Santa Verena or the church on the Koben farm, as well as the well-known chestnut trail that crosses the entire Eisack Valley, are all close to the farm for a daily walk or to improve your fitness.
A little higher up there are extensive hiking trails with impressive Dolomite views of the Alps, from the Rittner Horn via the Barbiano and Villandro Alps to the Santa Croce hut in Lazfons. The owners will be happy to recommend hiking, biking, or skiing programs!
Culture and shopping
Small but pretty: the medieval town of Klausen (7 km); rich in history: the ancient episcopal city of Brixen (18 km); sophisticated: the provincial capital Bolzano (25 km); with a spa facility and lots of Art Nouveau: Meran (58 km).
All four cities are easily accessible from the Oberfaller farm by public transportation or by car.
In addition to shopping under the banner of South Tyrolean tradition and Italian style, they offer cultural highlights ranging from contemporary art museums to the Ötzi museum, impressive churches, castles, and monasteries, as well as events, festivals, and exhibitions related to the art, culture, and customs of the province.
Culinary offerings
South Tyrolean cuisine has a lot to offer: starred restaurants, rustic alpine huts, good-natured inns , cozy inns ... and a special richness as Italian-Mediterranean culinary art meets Alpine culinary art.
For those who don't want to cook, the "Saubacher Hof" is only a 500-meter walk away, and in 2.5 km you can reach both Barbian and Colma with restaurants and pizzerias. In Klausen there is the "Klostersepp," in Villanders the "Steinbock," on the Ritten the "Zuner" farmer's inn, and many others easily reached by car.
