Via Secchia, 57, Palazzago 24030 Palazzago (Bergamo)
Farm of 4 hectares, located amidst the hills of Val San Martino, boasts of a family-run place with vineyards of red wine and moscato. We also raise cattle, goats, pigs, and barnyard animals (offering delicious cold meats and fresh goat cheese).
This historic home, dating to the 17th century with hayloft and stable from the mid-1700s, has kept its original simple architecture and rooms built in stone and wood. A timeless place.
Vacationing here takes you back in time, to a simple lifestyle in contact with nature: the silence of night, the forest, vineyard, scent of rain, cold winter months.
3 rooms for guests are found on the first floor, which formerly hosted the farmer tenants and his family. All have bath with shower, and keep their original structure. By salvaging the former top floor, all have a mezzanine for the bath or a sleeping accommodation. One of the rooms also has an ancient fireplace.
The dining room on the ground floor, with its large fireplace, in an inviting space for gathering.
Also on the ground floor you’ll find the kitchen, which is original with its fireplace, though with modern equipment.
We prepare traditional simple food from Bergamo: polenta with roasts, stews, stracotti, casseroles, grills, roasted rabbit, punta ripiena, bolliti, bread and cakes from our ovens and fresh homemade pasta. Enjoy fresh tastes from the past.
The cellar safeguards wine treasures and cold meats which me make onsite.
The rest of the building houses the stables, the hayloft, the salami workshops and the dairy, which produces fresh goat's cheese, mature cheeses and "formaggelle", a famous Sardinian dessert.
The farm occupies 4 hectares; 1 is devoted to the vineyards and the rest are forests. Our traditional vineyards date to the 16th century and are currently being restored: now Merlot and Cabernet S. for red vine varieties and Moscato Giallo and Bianco for white ones. Both IGT wines are produced.
Our agriturismo, found 14 km from Bergamo, at the foothills of Monte Linzone, is surrounded by many trails, historical hamlets, and Romanesque monuments. In short time you can reach the Valle Imagna, the Valle Brembana, Pontida with its historic Benedictine Abbey, Sotto Il Monte, Caprino and Lecco.
Nearby are sports facilities (pools, stables and golf course), malls (Orio Center and Curno) and the Parco Faunistico delle Cornelle di Valbrembo known for its white tigers.
The agriturismo enjoys an excellent location, around twenty minutes from Orio al Serio Airport and a few minutes from the nearest train station, for quick and easy access to Lombardy’s main towns and cities, such as Bergamo, Brescia and Milan, as well as Lake Como. An hour takes you to Lake Garda and Lake Iseo.”
Went there last Saturdsy with another couple. Food was lovely, service great and great value for money. Definitely going back. We are planning to take my father and in-laws next Sunday
I went to Cascina Ronchi with my husband and my dog Meringue and I immediately breathed an air of serenity.
Welcomed by Giovanna, a charming landlady who has won us over with her polite manner and her smile!
Not to mention the homemade bread and the dishes made to perfection ... ... a really nice place but especially managed with much love ... Sunday we return again with the family!

Together with my wife and our dog, Chicca, we returned to this family-run farm, and I must say that it is always a huge pleasure. The familiar air that Cascina Ronchi breathes, together with the excellent dishes served and the friendliness of Mrs. Giovanna and her husband, are the guarantee of spending some hours of care and tranquility far from the city chaos.
